We are seeking an experienced AP/AR Specialist to work in the accounting and finance department at a manufacturing facility that is committed to success located in Goodyear, Arizona. Come be a part of a team that’s changing the game.

What will I be doing?
The AP/AR Specialist will support agency administrative operations by performing standard accounting and administrative functions.
What qualifications do I need for this great opportunity?
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Associate in accounting or equivalent Job Experience
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience in accounting

What are your primary duties to be successful in this role?
- Maintaining vendor files including Form 1099 and Insurance verification.
- Coding and processing of invoices including review for appropriate documentation and approvals.
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and resolve disputes/discrepancies.
- Review, code and process credit card statements.
- Maintain files, documentation, and contracts thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
- Distribute recommended weekly payments to vendors based on terms and available funds.
- Process check, ACH, and Wire requests including obtaining appropriate documentation, approvals and signatures
- Maintain cash spreadsheets and reconciliations to bank balances
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing; including balancing subledger to GL
- Updating financial and management reporting such as Vendor Trend Reports
- Preparing monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid amounts, and GL account analysis
- Assists Accounts Receivable functions as needed.
- Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
Other Qualifications
- Working knowledge of an ERP system
- Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
- Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
- Strong PC Skills; Proficient in Outlook, Excel and Word, 10-key by touch
- Must have strong work ethics
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately
