We are seeking skilled truck drivers with CDL A to drive as an independent contractor with a growing trucking company that is dedicated to service and safety.

Salary/Pay Rate: Will be disclosed during screening with recruiter.

Location: Baltimore, Md

What will you be doing?

Transporting finished goods and raw materials over land to manufacturing plants or retail distribution centers.
Planning routes and meeting delivery deadlines

What qualifications do I need for this great opportunity?

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED and Trucking School diploma
Minimum Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Requirements and skills:

Hands on experience with software (GPS, email, etc.)
Ability to drive long hours, run Monday through Friday and travel at maximum 2-3 overnight runs
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
No recent moving or driving violations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
Valid truck driving license

Responsibilities:

Inspect truck and trailer for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventive maintenance.
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Document and log work/rest periods and retain fuel/toll receipts
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver truck into loading and unloading positions
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents, or violations

Physical Requirements
This position requires extended sitting. Ability to lift to 50lbs
